In the past, the UAHS Boosters has sponsored (submits float application, contributes $250 for expenses, provides coolers, water, ice, and banners) a captains' (senior leaders if captains haven't been chosen yet) 4th of July parade float.
In order to have the float, it is up to a few of the captains' parents to handle the following logistics:
1. Procure a truck, trailer and driver (Boosters will donate up to $250 to offset any costs incurred).
2. Meet a Booster rep at the UAHS concession stand prior to the 4th to grab coolers, water and banners and then meet again in order to return the items after the 4th. Put items on the float the morning of the 4th and make arrangements with the truck driver to retrieve the items after the parade.
3. Communicate via email with all the teams/captains to get them to rsvp and then provide email communication on the float location. Initial communication must go out prior to June 20. Once the float location is determined (usually July 2ish), another email needs to be sent.
If anyone (or several people) would like to handle these tasks, please respond to uaboosters.com by June 18,12pm. If no one steps up, there will not be a captains' float.
